Were I but King of Anglophonia

Officially

Are you an agent of the King? Are you an official? Do your actions have the stamp of officialdom? No? Then you can't really do anything officially, can you? Not literally, certainly.

Avoid using officially as an intensifier or as a way to give emphasis to your statement.

Don't say, "I now officially hate, despise, revile, and detest George W. Bush, the fake President." Say, "I now hate, despise, revile, and detest George W. Bush, the fake President, and I will give every penny I can spare to the Democratic candidate in hopes that he will win the election and save America from the degradation into which a gang of unelected thugs have plunged it."
