My second Star Trek book, also set in the milieu of The Original Show. Captain Kirk falls in love with a Klingon woman. This was before Klingons developed head bumps and bad teeth. I had a long, complex title that summarized the plot and would have filled up the entire cover of the book. The editor at Pocket Books objected, oddly enough. I was at a loss for a replacement, until my son Daniel, who has an astonishing talent for titles, came up with Timetrap. Tossed it off, he did. |
