The Coming New Edition of My Breast Cancer Book -- a notice from Leonore, April 2008
My autobiographical book, WHY I'M GLAD I HAD BREAST CANCER (Wildside Press, 2005), will be re-issued in May of 2009 by Norilana Books. The text will be revised and updated.
The book will have a new title: ANOTHER CHANCE AT LIFE: A BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR'S JOURNEY.
The Spanish edition will be released at the same time.
I'm happy to say that Vera Nezarian, the publisher, is willing to use the same cover photo that appeared on the 2005 book. I took the photo in Germany in 1988.

There are still copies of that book out there, available from Amazon and other online booksellers. Here in Denver, you can purchase the book at the Auraria Campus Book Store, The Denver Book Mall, Tattered Cover, and West Side Books. I also have a few copies for sale.
I want to do an update of the book now that I am coming up on the 10-year anniversary of my diagnosis and subsequent mastectomy. The basic text will be the same, but I will add information that I hope will be of interest and use to others: a discussion of my current health (new problems, but no more cancer), new things that I am doing in an effort to get and stay healthier, a bit about new breast cancer treatment options, and some practical information like the names of some mastectomy products sites that I have used and like.
Thanks to all of you who participated in the "Name This Book" competition that we ran for a few days in early April, when I was still seeking a new title for the 2009 edition of the book. Your suggestions were appreciated. In the end, I thought up the new title myself. But I much appreciate your interest, and hope you will still be interested when the new book is released.
